The English Toy Spaniel, King Charles Spaniel, or as doglovers call them: "Charlies" have always fascinated me..
As a teenager I decided that I dreamt of establishing these two royal breeds in Germany with my own breeding. Some dreams come true, and so first I was able to start my Cavalier King Charles breeding programme under the prefix Bonitos Companeros. It didn't take long and only 5 years later I startet my King Charles breeding programme under the prefix: Bonitos Companeros Deluxe. And what should i tell ....they are Deluxe and you will find this out when you first time meet a Charlie in person !!!!


We have given ourselves the mission of securing this breed in our modern times.
The King Charles Spaniel is a very old breed, which has endured from the early middle ages through to the present day. Unfortunately the breed is little known, and only few know the advantages that these little Spaniels have. In Germany this old royal breed is facing extinction. According to the annual statistics of the German Kennel Club (VDH/FCI), on average no more than 20 puppies have been born per year over the last few years. This is clearly too few in order to maintain this breed in Germany. To combat this we have started to build an international network of highly motivated breeders, who are all working to secure this breed.
